Community Management (CM) continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting Community Landscaping (CL) through a series of charitable and ceremonial contracts, conveniently funded through extra assessments, new landscaping contracts, front-yard maintenance, front tree maintenance, now back tree maintenance also, and other innovative community-enhancement initiatives.

CM might have noticed that BCC residents do not take any stand and do not have time to review what is going on or residents have no say or decision making power. So, CM keeps awarding new contracts to the non-performing contractors.

Both contractors appear to be fully aligned with the BCC Forestation Vision, an ambitious vision that will eventually transform traditional landscape management into a more “nature-managed” process. Residents who have not yet embraced this visionary concept occasionally make the mistake of complaining to CM about missed services, poor maintenance, or landscaping issues. Clearly, these residents simply have not been adequately prepared for the forestation future.

CM continues to provide unconditional support to CL, gradually preparing residents for the coming forestation era through a combination of ceremonial landscaping, missed services, delayed services, and creatively interpreted maintenance standards.

  1. Removing leaves – Are leaves supposed to be removed regularly to keep the community looking tidy, or are they removed only when resources are available or when the contractor chooses to do so? In practice, leaves have been removed only once a year, leaving the community with an autumn-like appearance throughout the fall and winter. Missed, off-season services means more money to contractors.
  2. Aeration and seeding – Aren’t they supposed to reseed the lawns annually? Although annual reseeding is expected, it has reportedly occurred only once since 2020, resulting in patchy grass throughout the community and around individual homes. Contractors saving money on seeds.
  3. Grass cutting – Mostly not on schedule grass cutting. They schedule grass cutting as they feel. And cut too low to expose the ground for moss to thrive. Resulting in grass-less patches. Missed or delayed grass mowing services means more money to contractors.
  4. Weed removal – A subcontractor shows up even on rainy days for a ceremonial weed treatment. Patchy treatment of weeds. Missed services, patchy treatment means more money to contractors.
  5. Shrub cutting, mulching and edging – Supposed to maintain shrubs across common areas, add mulch and maintain edges. But shrubs are dying. They cut shrubs not maintain them aesthetically. They cut them when they want not when it is most needed. Drive through the community and you’ll see the ugliest cut shrubs and dying shrubs in common areas. Missed cutting, off-season cutting, and using inexperienced people mean more money to CL.
  6. CM helped CL to slowly get front yard maintenance for all homes – Even after the poor service, now CL maintains all homes, and all homes shrubs are cut ugly and started deteriorating. This was done in the name of making BCC more beautiful, but BCC ended up paying more to stay natural. CM helped CL get this contract at the double price. CL is getting double the money, will be providing poor and reduced services resulting in tons of money savings for them. If we do a simple math, they’ll be saving 3/4th of contracted amount given their past performance and contracted amount.
  7. Front yard tree maintenance – CL received front yard tree maintenance, but if you drive through the community, you’ll see a few trees dying. Want proof email us at: contact@bccResidents.org. Free money to CL.
  8. Back yard tree maintenance – CL received another contract this year to maintain all back yard trees also. This is absolutely free money for CL. More and free money to CL.
  9. Fixing dead grass patches on a home’s yard – CM approved a measure where home owners will have to pay for fixing the dead grass patches in their yard. This will again reward the CL with new work for non-delivery of their lawn maintenance, aeration & seeding, weeding, etc. services.
