In 2025, Community Management (CM) awarded yet another important project to make the Tournament Parkway entrance roundabout smaller—a truly visionary decision that gives larger trucks more room to navigate the turn and drivers can avoid hitting the curve. No sarcasm here.
But the real brilliance of the project was how perfectly it aligned with the BCC Forestation Vision. As part of this improvement, the landscaping contractor removed the artificial landscaping from the top circle and replaced it with a collection of small plants, generously exposing the surface underneath and covering it with mulch. The previous landscaping apparently looked far too artificial, so the new design brings us much closer to the natural, untouched aesthetic we are striving for.
The newly acquired road surface also has a wonderful “patch” appearance, which should remain proudly visible for years—at least until the community eventually undergoes its next asphalt application. Why hide construction history when it can become a permanent feature of the landscape?
The result is truly remarkable:
- Removal of unnecessary artificial landscaping.
- A generous display of mulch and small plants.
- A beautiful new patched-surface aesthetic.
- And, most importantly, another successful step toward the BCC Forestation Vision.
Clearly, this is not just a roundabout improvement. It is progress.
